Reading is something that I love in theory, but in practice I always seem to put it off. I have lots of classics that I've yet to read as well as some old favorites that I need to read again. Not counting textbooks, I bet the last book I read was The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which was already over a year ago. Man, I'm slow.

I'm on a bit of a philosophy binge. Just finished The Prince by Machiavelli and it is pretty interesting. It's actually a letter he wrote to a member of the Medici Family in Florence regarding what it takes to effectively rule. To say the least, Machiavelli is no flower child; he says to rule with an iron fist and never stop grabbing for more power. Agree or disagree with his views, you may never watch C-SPAN the same way.

Correction: He apparently just sent a copy to said Medici family member.
